Why Automatic?
Automatic transmission vehicles are the present and future of driving in the UK. eventually all new cars in the UK will have automatic transmissions. Electric cars have no gears and petrol automatic cars are readily available nationwide already.
Automatic cars are easier to drive, you will learn faster and save money in the long term. Your test will be easier and you will make the next 30+ Years of your driving life much less stressful.
Automatic cars substantially lower the risk of stalling when emerging onto a main road, roundabout or whilst doing a hill start. Clutch control is also handled automatically, leaving you with two free hands for steering. You only need one foot to drive too.
Q: How long does it take to learn to drive?
A: DVSA statistics show that on average it takes 45 hours in a dual control vehicle + 20 hours private practice | If you don't have access to a private car to practice it may take more hours in a dual control vehicle
Q: Why two hour lessons?
A: They have been proven to be far more effective. You don't end up doing more lessons, you simply condense your lessons to block them together.
Q: Do you do night time lessons (6pm onwards)?
A: Only in very exceptional cases for people who live very close to us
Q: Can you cover my short notice test?
A: In general any test would have to be a couple or more, weeks away and I would have to assess your ability in advance. Unfortunately if it looks unlikely for you to pass as per ADI rules I would have to refuse use of the vehicle (though you could still use your own, or hired vehicle) check gov.uk for details
Q: Can you pick me up and drop me off at different locations?
A: In general the pickup and drop off location must be at the same address or within the same area, at discretion
Q: How do I pay? Can I pay in lump sums?
A: Payments are taken in the car on a per lesson basis, using a Sumup card reader, it accepts all major cards and Google or Apple Pay
Payment links can be sent via WhatsApp for you to pay online if preferred, lessons must be paid for in advance via this method
Cash can also be accepted but card payments preferred
Receipts are given upon request, emailed, texted, paper : for cash only
